The rubber sealing gasket incorporated into the KLAMFLEX coupling interrupts the flow of current from pipe to pipe.
To counter this problem a wire or copper strap can be connected to the two pipes via the coupling.
We recommend, for more detailed guidance, that contact should be made with one of the several companies specialising in cathodic protection. Bonding is equally applicable to both steel and iron pipes.
